Meet the Trainers

We pride ourselves on First Aid trainers that have a passion for training, and who go that extra mile to ensure that not only do we inspire our candidates but also provide an exciting interactive learning experience.
Our trainers are tested, industry-certified, well-paid, experienced professionals who aim to provide all our candidates with the knowledge and confidence to deliver first aid in an emergency situation.

Peter Hall – Managing Director

Peter has worked in training for the past 15 years.
Before starting Achievable Training he worked for McDonald’s in the North; heading up their Northern Health and Safety/Food Safety department as well as their North West Training department.
Peter can deliver all aspects of First Aid, he also specialises in Food Safety, Health and Safety and Presentation Skills.

What do I enjoy about training?

I really enjoy the interaction with candidates and creating an environment where they not only learn but also really enjoy themselves. I am a firm believer that training should be fun.

What do you do outside of training?

Besides my passion for training I have a passion for food.  Some family members and I opened a deli three years ago to indulge ourselves!
I love travelling and spending time with my wife and two children too.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Take all my close friends and family away for a holiday to a private island, pay off a few mortgages, and maybe buy a new car.
I wouldn’t stop working though as I enjoy it too much!

Wayne Renshaw  –  First Aid and Health and Safety

Wayne has worked in training for the last 14 years and is qualified to teach all First Aid subjects and Health and Safety – he also specialises in Forklift training.
Prior to training, Wayne had a successful career in the Army where he served with the Grenadier Guards.

What do I enjoy about training?

I really enjoy meeting new people and having an opportunity to pass my knowledge on to them.

What do you do outside of training?

I enjoy getting out on my bike whenever I can. Keeping fit is a bit of a passion of mine, so any opportunity I have I take it!
I enjoy going for walks in the mountains with my girlfriend and going out for dinner.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Share it with my friends.

Cindy Nerney  –  First Aid and Safeguarding Children

Cindy has worked in training for the last 12 years and specialises in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding children.

What do you enjoy about training?
The satisfaction of knowing that I am passing on knowledge that could save lives. There is no better feeling than when a delegate contacts me and tells me that they have saved a life (often it’s one of their own children) due to attending one of my courses. But most of all, I enjoy having fun whilst training!

What would you do if you won the National Lottery?
First of all I would travel the world which is something that I have always wanted to do.
Then I would buy a big house in the country, but I definitely wouldn’t give up working.

What do you enjoy doing outside of training?
Keep fit, running and socialising with friends – ching, ching!

Gary Coombes  –  First Aid

Gary has worked in Training for the 7 years.  Prior to this he had a successful career in the army.

What do you enjoy about training?
I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to other people.. In training no one course is the same so it is always interesting and challenging.

What would you do if you won the National Lottery?
If I won the lottery I would buy a beach house in Australia, move there with my children and enjoy the sun, sea and waves in my very premature retirement! But because I enjoy training First Aid so much I would probably train courses still.

What do you enjoy doing outside of training?
I enjoy spending time with my children, going to the gym, watching my beloved football team (Everton) and generally relaxing – which doesn’t happen very often!
