What's on the course?
Health and Safety in the Workplace is designed to provide essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety for employees working in any sector of business.
The programme will enable those attending to:
- Work in a safe & healthy manner and contribute to improving health and safety within an organisation's policy
- Identify key hazards in their own workplace
- Understand the importance of health and safety rules and working procedures
- Report potential health and safety problems
- Be responsible for their own actions
Areas covered include:
- Health and safety at work
- Health and safety law
- Prevention of accidents and ill health
- Risk assessment
- First aid at work
- Workplace safety
- Occupational health
The course will be assessed by a short multiple choice quiz at the end of the day.
